Ginger
Ginger is an 8 yr old Beagle and Spaniel mix. Her proud parent is Janice Conine. Ginger came from a family in Lima, OH. Janice's friend overheard a lady saying she needed to find a new home for their puppy. They couldn't get her housebroken and she had chewed a very expensive pair of shoes. I guess some people don't realize puppies are like babies and need time and patience to learn right from wrong. Lucky for Ginger, Janice knew that.
At that time, Janice had nine other dogs so she thought what's one more. Janice named her Ginger because her coat color reminded her of ginger snap cookies. She's very glad she adopted Ginger and gave her a forever home. With Janice's TLC, Ginger became a very good girl and a happy momma's girl. :)

Ginger became a guest at day care and part of OUR family on October 29, 2007. She comes to visit us two or three times a week. She brings along her sisters - Poppy, a Dalmatian-Lab mix and 'leader of the pack,' Sandy, a Shar-Pei mix and Dusty, a Teddy's Rescue girl. Ginger likes to get a little back scratch before she joins her other furry friends for the day.

Ginger is very sweet and never gets into trouble. She looks up at you with her BIG brown eyes that melt your heart. She has the most unique way to scratch her OWN back. She sits up against the fence and barks and when she barks her butt hops off the ground and when her butt hops off the ground, it rubs her back on the fence. Voila! Her back gets scratched. You have to see it to appreciate it. It is absolutely adorable and it always makes you laugh.

Ginger doesn't play. She mingles with other furry friends but mostly she hangs out with her sisters. Wherever Poppy is, you will find Sandy and wherever Ginger is, you will find Dusty. For the most part, wherever Poppy is her sisters are sure to follow. If Poppy is busy playing, then Sandy, Ginger, and Dusty are together watching. Ginger also likes to go in the bathroom/laundry room and bark. Not sure why but I think she likes to bark in there because it echoes.
Janice says when Ginger gets really excited she yodels. Would LOVE to hear that. Ginger LOVES car rides and can roll the window down on her own. Smart girl, Ginger! We LOVE you Ginger, you are a sweet, sweet girl. You have left your paw prints on our hearts forever and that is why you are our "Dog of the Month" for November.
Ginger woofs everybody a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!
