Maggie

Maggie is a 1 ½ yr. old Weimaraner. Her proud parents are Kirk and Heather Wensink. As the story goes Maggie came from the "ghetto of Toledo". Kirk and Heather thought they were getting her from a "reputable breeder". Within seconds of arriving to pick up Maggie, they realized that it was anything but a breeder. There were 3 puppies left and they had actually wanted a male puppy but when they saw Maggie it was love at first sight.

So just like a storybook ending, the Wensink's became Maggie's "knight and shining armor" and rescued the little Princess from the ghetto to a safe and happily ever after home. Maggie became a guest at day care and part of OUR family on Dec. 30, 2005. Affectionately nicknamed Maggie Moo Moo, she spends 2 to 3 days a week with us. Maggie thinks she is a human and has an attitude to prove it! She has a vivid personality, that of a Princess.

Some days Maggie comes into day care quiet and well behaved, very prim and proper. Other days Maggie arrives ready for fun and play, wound up tighter than a corkscrew. Go Maggie!! We love her either way, she is a very sweet girl. Whenever you do have to scold her she makes you feel very guilty because she looks at you so sad and then you just want to hug her but you know you can't.
She plays well with all her furry friends. Her favorites being Shister, Poppy, Buddy, Joey and Sadie. Maggie's boyfriend is Sammy. She has sort of a unique relationship with Doogie. Best described as kinda play with me but, don't play with me.

Maggie is very attached to her mommy and daddy. Going to day care is the only time she runs away from them. The Wensink's say day care is as much for Maggie as it is for them. They say Aunt Cindy and staff are saints in their eyes. We feel just the opposite. We are the ones blessed and thankful that we have been given the privilege of taking care of their special girl. We truly feel like we "Our" family.

Maggie is a very affectionate girl. It is \nreported that when sitting close to her, she must have a paw or some part of her \nbody touching you. She's very smart and listens well. She always sits very \nstraight and proper like a lady, never slouches. She's very loyal and a \nwonderful watch dog. She does have one bad habit though, she snores like a \nfreight train!\u003cbr\>We love to give Maggie hugs and kisses. She has a "sad look" \nthat just melts your heart. When she looks at you "that way", all you can say is \n"Awwwww Maggie" and give her a BIG hug. Maggie has left her paw prints on our \nhearts and that is why she is our "Dog of the Month" for March.
