Winston

Winston is a 3 year old miniature schnauzer. His proud parent is Kelly Sterling. Winston was a birthday present from her husband. They got him from a breeder in Wooster, Ohio. Kelly always wanted a miniature schnauzer and had said she would name him Winston. We at day care have affectionately nicknamed him Winstie-woo.



Winston became a guest at day care and part of OUR family on November 20, 2006. He usually visits day care about once or twice a week and brings along his brother, Brady, another miniature schnauzer to enjoy a day of play. Winston also has other furry siblings at home, a golden retriever sister named Nittany and a feline brother, Bob.



Kelly says Winston is very spoiled. You would never know that by the way he acts at day care. Winston is a real sweetheart and absolute gentleman. He is always excited and happy to arrive at day care but is very calm and reserved when he is on the floor. He never gets in trouble or causes problems. He just mingles in with his friends. He is very quiet. Some of his furry friends could take a lesson from him.



We love to give him hugs and kisses. He has the absolute sweetest face and melts your heart with his BIG brown eyes. When you talk to him, he looks you right in the face, it is soo sweet. Winston is a smart boy too. Aunt Cindy says when it is time for him and his brother to go home, Winston picks his lead out of the lockers where all the other guests’ leads are kept. Good boy, Winstie!

Winston’s mom says he is very loyal to her. He mopes when she leaves and often does not leave the bed. He developed his own game of soccer, he likes to get a stuffed toy and push a tennis ball all through the house. Winston LOVES to eat. His vocabulary includes cereal, cookie, chewy bone, dinner, pepperoni, and hungry.

You are a very special friend Winstie-woo. We love you. You have left your paw prints on our hearts forever and that is why you are the Dog of the Month for June.
