Sable

Sable is a nine year old Sheperd mix. Her proud parents are Ryan Hudson and his fiancee Megan Shaw.

As the story goes, Ryan saw Sable on the news one day and fell in love. He HAD to rescue her! She was just a puppy then but after nine years, she is still a puppy at heart. Her daddy named her after a good looking female wrestler, Sable.

Sable became a guest at day care and part of OUR family on March 13, 2006. She spends two to three days a week with us. Sometimes we are treated to everyday when she brings her cousins, Tucker, a lab mix, and Sophia, a young rottweiler with her. Here at day care, we all call her "Grandma Sable" because she barks and tries to help us keep all the young uns' in line, like a Grandma would with her grandchildren.



Sable is a sweet ole gal. Since we know she is older, we kind of look out for her and tend to spoil her. We give her time to herself to relax on a couch or a chair in our time out area. She lets us know when she has had enough rest by barking and we let her out to join in the fun with all her furry friends.

We are told that Sable loves to ride in the back of the truck and bark at motorcycles. Sable always makes sure her mommy and daddy stay far away from eachother. Every time they give each other a hug, she barks and jumps in between them. She loves to play and hang out with her best friends and cousins, Tucker and Princess Sophia.

Unfortunately, Sable and her family have had to relocate. It was a sad goodbye and we already miss her a lot. We are hoping she will come back to visit us real soon. Sable has left her paw prints on our hearts for always and forever and that is why she is our Dog of the Month for June.
