Savior
Savior is a four year old Doberman. His proud parent is Cindy Smith, also owner of Howl-a-Day Inn Doggie Day Care.
As the story goes, Cindy's beloved Doberman, Kado, died on March 13, 2006. A very, very sad day. Someone from the Humane Society called her two days prior to Kado's death telling her there was a three year old doberman there for adoption. Cindy was so overwhelmed and tired with the responsibilities of taking care of Kado, as the lower half of his body was paralyzed and also working a full time job plus taking care of the "Inn" business that she had to tell them she couldn't adopt him. Then Kado passed away. So later that same day, Cindy went to the Humane Society to look at the doberman.
She decided she wanted to adopt him, but someone had put a deposit down to hold him for them. Believing everything happens for a reason, she left it in God's hands and believed if she was meant to have him that God would find a way. Well fate stepped in and her prayers were answered.

The Humane Society called and told Cindy that the other couple had came and taken their deposit back deciding not to adopt the Dobie after all. So, Cindy adopted the doberman and the rest is history. She named him Savior after Our Father and because he was her blessing. Savior is also blessed with "the best" mom and a forever home.
Savior became the "Innkeeper" and part of OUR family on March 20, 2006. He greets all the guests and their parents when they enter the office at Howl-a-Day Inn. At first glance he can look pretty intimidating, but behind that he is a real sweetheart waiting for a pat on the head and a "Hi Savior!" What can you say about Savior ... awesome and beautiful come to mind. He is extremely loyal and devoted to Cindy and there is no doubt he would give his life for his owner.
Savior likes to be on the day care floor with his furry friends, especially when Cindy is on the floor too. Savior doesn't play too much, he mostly stands and surveys, always watching everything going on. He likes to play with Shister and Lucy Lu is his favorite gal. Sammy, his cousin, is his toothbrush. He is always trying to lick and clean his teeth.

He absolutley loves to chase tennis balls but won't bring them back to you. Instead, you keep throwing them, he runs and gets them, then takes them outside and puts them in a corner and builds a nest of tennis balls. You might have 20 balls on the floor and at some point in time, you will find them all in a pile with Savior standing there looking at you guys as if to say "MINE!"
You have heard the old saying about owners and their dogs looking alike. With Cindy and Savior, it's not that they look alike, but he has her personality. If you know Cindy, then yo know Savior. One example ... if Savior is on the floor with me and Cindy is in the office. I will see Savior standing at the gate and I know he wants in the office with his mom. I will start walking towards him and I will say "you want in with your mom?" He will give me a look like "hellooo, anytime now." I open the gate and off he runs to his favorite place, wherever Cindy is at.

Savior has to share his mom with a lot of guests at home too because they have a lot of slumber party's. So I know Savior's favorite time is the days and nights he doesn't have to share his time or bed with anyone and he gets Cindy all to himself.
We all love Savior, he is just a great dog. We love giving him hugs and we spoil him with treats and people food. He was and is a true blessing to Cindy as much as Cindy is to him. I guess you could say, they saved each other. And they are both a blessing to all of us. Savior has left his paw prints on our hearts and that is why he is our "Dog of the Month" for July.
