Shister

Shister is a 2 yr.old German Shepherd mix. His proud parents are Dave and Sheri Scott. Shister was actually on a flyer at a Wal-mart, that read "free puppies to a good home." Ashley, the Scott's daughter fell in love with Shister and adopted him when he was 9 wks.old. He's kinda like Dave & Sheri's grandchild, he came for a visit but never left. He shares his home with Lucy Lu, another guest at day care.

Shister became a guest at day care on Feb.7, 2005. He spends his days with us and we love him. What can you say about Shister (Meister). He's a character. Personality plus. He holds two honorable positions at Howl-a-Day Inn. He is Activity Director for all the dogs here and also was elected last month to be our Editor & Chief of our Paw Pals monthly newsletter. Shister is very smart and easy to train. Missing a tennis ball? Shister will find it for you. Most likely it is under the couch where he put it & that is the one, the ONLY one he wants.

Shister can do all the agility and shakes a paw for a treat. He loves to give hugs and kisses. He loves to play and romp with everyone especially with his best budd Sammy. Lucy Lu and him are your typical brother and sister. They pick & play but he's also protective of her. When I see Shister sitting by himself daydreaming, I can't help wondering what is going through that mind of his. Trouble, maybe? If only he could talk.

Shister has many facets to his personality. It has been reported he loves to snack on bologna. Sticks his head out of the door when it's raining, looks around & says "No Way" and has even thought he was Houdini and escaped from his crate in the middle of the night. It's not hard to see why Shister Meister has left his paw prints on our hearts and that is why he is our "Dog of the Month" for July.
