Howl-a-Day Inn.com Dog of the Month > December 2008

Zoe

Zoe is a 5 year old Shepherd and Akita mix. Her proud parents are Holly and Jim Cramer. Zoe’s story had a sad start. Someone abandoned her. A friend of Holly’s found Zoe under the deck of their house where she had been crying for a day. They thought she was a raccoon! They had to pull the boards up from their deck to get her out.

Holly’s friend called her and asked her to come over to look at Zoe and if the Cramer’s didn’t want her, she would have to go to the Humane Society. This story had a happy ending as Zoe got her forever home with Holly and Jim. They feel very lucky to have Zoe. I’m sure Zoe feels like she is the lucky one.

Zoe became a guest at day care and part of OUR family on January 20, 2005. Zoe is one of the original members of the Howl-a-Day Inn “rat pack”. She has been coming to day care since the beginning, except now when she comes for a day of fun she brings her sister Mia with her. Zoe is a very sweet and friendly girl. She’s actually a very quiet girl, she doesn’t bark very much.

Zoe has a very happy personality. She loves to play and romp with her best friends, Sammy Knox, an Aussie mix and Maggie “Moo” Wensink, a Weimaraner. When she isn’t playing with her other furry friends, she is hanging out with her sister Mia.

Holly tells us that Zoe loves to chase birds. One time she even caught one in her mouth! The Cramer’s are a “No Kill” household so the bird was released and flew away. Zoe turns her head and her ears perk up when you say things like “Let’s go for a ride in the truck” and “Go for a walk?” or my favorite “Let’s go play at Doggie Day Care!!” Zoe loves kids and is very gentle with them. When Zoe sleeps, she curls up in the smallest ball.

We love you Zoe. You have left your paw prints on our hearts forever and that is why you are our “Dog of the Month” for December. We know you have been a very very good girl Zoe so we all hope “Santa Paws” brings you lots of toys and treats.

Zoe wishes everyone
HAPPY HOWLIDAYS!
