Annie

Annie is a 3 year old Labradoodle. Her proud parents are Sharon and Glenn Elchert. When the Elchert's Lab passed away they contacted the breeder in Newark, Ohio where they had gotten her. They were now raising Labradoodles. Sharon and Glenn did some research on the breed and found some locally and that's where they got Annie. Glenn wanted to call her Scruffy but Sharon liked a more feminine name so the name Annie Grace was born.

Annie became a guest at day care and part of OUR family on February 8, 2006. She is the first guest to arrive on Wednesday mornings, the only day Annie spends with us. If you would like to see "Annie in Action", you can click here. I open both gates leading to the play area and Glenn opens the front door and Annie runs in and straight through to the play area. You have to see it to appreciate it.

Since Annie is the first and only guest for about an hour, Annie and I get the day care all to ourselves. For that hour she is very quiet and follows me around while I get my morning chores done. Of course I spoil her with a few extra treats and we play a little ball. When our other furry friends start arriving, she stands at the fence and jumps straight up and down with excitement.
Annie-doodle doesn't really have any best friends, she just likes to mingle with everyone and she is ready to play and wrestle with whoever is up for it. Annie loves to play in the snow. If she has her way, she will lay down in any mud puddle she finds and doesn't care how dirty she gets. She likes to take naps in the afternoon with Doogie, our lovable St. Bernard.
